We did it! We hit our first Hubspot Agency Partner Tier. We are now a Hubspot Silver Certified Agency! We are very excited to become a Hubspot Partner. It has always been a goal of ours since Fat Guy was founded. Once the growing pains of rapid expansion had subsided we were finally ready to begin our journey to become a Certified Hubspot Partner.
What’s It Take to be a Certified Hubspot Partner?
In order for us to become a Certified Hubspot Agency Partner we had to go through Hubspots partner training courses. Sounds simple enough, right? Oh how we underestimated the complexity. Becoming certified involved a lot of hours spent watching training videos, taking notes, online meetings, collaborating with our Hubspot Consultant and others from the Hubspot team, and much more. If there is a boot camp for inbound marketers this was it. As a team we felt it was best that everyone within our agency became certified, so we did exactly that. Before we knew it, we had finally earned all our certifications from Hubspot, even some that were not required to become a Hubspot Partner. The certifications that we obtained from the Hubspot Academy were the, Inbound Certification, Hubspot Certification, Partner Certification, and Hubspot Design Certification.
What is the Hubspot Partner Tier Program?
The Hubspot Partner Tier program was designed to acknowledge the Agency Partners who have not only adopted inbound marketing but brought the inbound message to the most clients, and those who executed inbound marketing services to the highest standards. Hubspot places their agency partners in tiers using a combination of metrics, looking at monthly recurring revenue (MRR) acquired and managed, retention, software engagement, and actual inbound marketing success. In short, Hubspot takes a lot of things into consideration before handing these out, so you can see why were excited to become a Hubspot Silver Certified Agency Partner.
How We Achieved the Hubspot Silver Certified Agency Partner Badge.
We’d love to just simply tell you that we achieved it because we are awesome (which we are) however, being just “awesome” and not able to explain why you’re awesome never got anyone anywhere. So how did we do it? Well, we made inbound marketing a part of our everyday routine. Taking the training courses and learning about inbound marketing in-depth changed our perspective and how we develop strategies for clients. The tools allowed us to better evaluate our client’s pains and needs in order to give them the best possible value and results. It also helps that we get super excited when we see our clients traffic tripling in numbers and/or generating more organic leads than paid search. All in all, fully embracing the inbound marketing approach we have opened up new doors not only for us but our current and future clients as well. We are already on our way to becoming a Hubspot Gold Certified Agency Partner and I have a good feeling it’s not too far away!
